About the Ministry

What does HIGO stand for? HIGO means “How I Got Over.” We’re a faith-based nonprofit dedicated to restoring lives and empowering those reentering society with dignity and purpose.

Is HIGO Ministries a registered nonprofit? Yes, we are a 501(c)(3) organization. All donations are tax-deductible as allowed by law.

 

Donations & Financial Transparency

How are donations used? Every gift supports our outreach programs, transitional housing vision, and spiritual mentorship for formerly incarcerated individuals.

Will I receive a receipt for my donation? Yes. You’ll receive an email confirmation immediately after donating, and a year-end summary upon request.

Can I donate without receiving merchandise? Absolutely. Gifts given without merchandise help us stretch every dollar further into the mission.

Merchandise & Campaigns

What does my donation include when I receive a shirt or gift? Your donation helps fund our ministry, and the shirt is a thank-you gift symbolizing freedom, grace, and restoration.

How do I choose my shirt size or color? You’ll be prompted to select your size, basic color is white, we are looking to add more color options in the future. 

When will I receive my merchandise? Orders typically ship within 7–10 business days. You’ll receive an email when your item ships.

Who qualifies for HIGO’s reentry support? At HIGO Ministries, we walk alongside those who are rebuilding their lives—whether they’ve been formerly incarcerated or are simply seeking a way out of a difficult path.

We serve:

  • Men and women returning from incarceration, offering spiritual mentorship, practical support, and a community rooted in grace.

  • Individuals facing life challenges, addiction, broken relationships, or emotional struggles—anyone who feels stuck and is ready for change.

  • Families impacted by incarceration, helping restore unity, dignity, and hope.
