Worship
Essence of Worship
Worship is the response of the heart to the knowledge of the mind when both rightly understand and value God. Worship is "giving God the best that HE has given to you" (Oswald Chambers). Worship is presenting your body as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God. (Romans 12:1)
Worship is more than music or ceremony—it’s a lifestyle of adoration, submission, and sacrifice to God.
Worship can take many forms, including:
-
Praise and Singing – Celebrating God’s goodness (Psalm 100, Colossians 3:16)
-
Prayer and Intercession – Communing with God and uplifting others
-
Sacrificial Living – Offering your time, talents, and heart (Romans 12:1)
-
Acts of Love and Service – Worship through compassion and outreach
